Executive Bio
“Wildflower Bread Company founder Louis J. Basile has been associated with the restaurant industry for the past quarter century.  Prior to 1987, Mr. Basile served as a Construction Project Manager, renovating many existing steak houses into Cisco Café Mexican Restaurants.  From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Basile held the position of Vice President of Operations at Au Bon Pain, an upscale quick service restaurant chain, offering bakery products, gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, and coffee beverages – a concept similar to that of the Wildflower.  During this time, the company grew from 40 to 125 stores.  Mr. Basile was then promoted to Vice President of International and Domestic Franchise Development, and also held the position of Vice President of Research and Development from 1991 to 1994.  Before following his dream and developing Wildflower Bread Company, Mr. Basile held the position of President/COO of the Coffee Plantation in Tempe, Arizona.

Company Overview
Louis Basile and his wife Tracy conceptualized and developed the Wildflower Bread Company in 1996.  During the previous 20 years, Mr. Basile enjoyed various milestone successes within the restaurant industry that eventually provided him with the experience and insight to develop and open the initial Wildflower store in Scottsdale, Ariz.  Mr. Basile’s managerial experience and background with nationally recognized restaurant concepts lends a key ingredient to the Wildflower success recipe.

Co-developer, Tracy Basile, enhanced the Wildflower Bread concept by bringing more than ten years of human resource expertise, predominantly with Fortune 100 companies.  Accordingly, the Wildflower Bread Company Mission Statement profoundly conveys the vision of its creators, and the positioning of the concept within this restaurant industry segment.”
